White Lotus Yoga is a synthesis of the major styles and traditions of yoga and the expression of many years of teaching by Tracey Rich and Ganga White, who have studied and taught yoga extensively around the world for more than 36 years. White Lotus Yoga combines the precision of Iyengar Yoga (see web site), the wisdom of classical yoga, and the flowing sequences and special breathing practices of both Ashtanga Yoga (see web site) and Vinyasa Yoga with White’s own experience with thousands of students. The approach emphasizes cycling one’s practice by alternating different styles of yoga, tuning one’s yoga practice to one’s own needs, and is taught in a non-dogmatic, open-minded manner.

White Lotus Yoga is taught and practiced at the White Lotus Foundation, a residential mountain retreat center overlooking Santa Barbara, California. Teacher training and certification is offered in 16-day intensive residential retreats that cover asana practice, pranayama, yoga philosophy, teacher training, professional issues, and a variety of other topics. Other offerings include a variety of workshops and programs such as three- to four-day retreats and a week of White Lotus Yoga.
