Position 12: Urdhva Hastasana—Upward Hands Pose (Arms Alongside Ears)
Inhale as you raise your arms out to the sides and execute a reverse swan dive. Bring the palms of your hands together to touch above your head. Try to keep the arms straight with the inside of your upper arms, parallel to and alongside your ears. Bend back as far as you can. Check to make sure that you are not dropping your neck back. Rather, keep your head and neck in line with your arms to avoid any excessive stretch.
